Our Purpose
Bring Order to the Complexity. The aging process is not a checklist—it is an evolving landscape of needs, fears, hopes, and trade-offs. Many individuals and families must make critical decisions at moments of stress, uncertainty, or crisis.
After my Mom had fallen and was admitted to the hospital, my wife and I had 15 minutes to agree to a skilled nursing facility before discharge, and after the second hospital re-admittance three hours to find and decide on a care home. Luckily we had a network of people that provided just-in-time advice and everything worked out.
At that point, I decided there had to be a better way. The idea of SilverBeacon.net as a decision-support platform and resource to help with aging decisions was born.
