Most aging challenges are approached reactively, yet they are systems, behavioral, and decision-making problems.
For over forty years, I focused on improving organizational effectiveness. I led large-scale change initiatives for large organizations and high-growth firms, serving in leadership roles at Deloitte, CapGemini, and in the financial sector. My work focused on optimizing complex systems, scaling operations, and guiding organizations through consequential change.
Then aging became personal.
When I navigated my own family’s transitions, I saw a different kind of complexity — one shaped by cognitive change, emotional strain, fragmented information, and unclear decision authority.
I shifted my focus to aging transitions — applying effectiveness concepts, behavioral science, and gerontological insight to a field that too often relies on checklists instead of coherent frameworks.
What Shapes My Perspective
Behavioral Scientist: PhD in Organizational Psychology and MA in Organization Development, focusing on the deep-seated identity shifts and resistance to change during life's major transitions.
Strategic Architect: MBA in Marketing and Strategy with 35 years of experience navigating complex individual and organizational change.
Decision Specialist: Certified in Data Science, Big Data, and AI - bridging the gap between the aging brain's cognitive changes and the data-driven tools that preserve autonomy.
Healthy Aging Advocate: Specialized expertise and certificates in Aging in Place, Healthy Aging, and Gerontology to help seniors maintain dignity while navigating the complexity of decision-making later in life.
Lived Experience: A perspective tempered by decades of professional change management and the personal reality of guiding family through the complexities of aging.
Hobby Designer, Builder, Remodeler, and Landscaper: I have always loved construction and landscaping, even coining the term - ExperienceZones - to help people envision spaces. I attended architecture school for a year and have project managed the remodel and landscaping (working with excellent tradespeople - and always learning along the way) of more than a dozen homes and yards.
My Focus
Helping seniors build a life consisting of: Less chaos. More control. Real peace.
